Arrived in France

Everything was on our side. After waiting 5 hours at the airport our flight eventually took off. We were very fortunate as ours was one of the very few that left from Barcelona to Paris OLY airport yesterday. Our car was also available and we then drove the 3 hour trip to Nantes. It was a beautiful sunny day. After arriving nested into our hotel grabbed some dinner then collapsed for the evening.
Off to enjoy Nantes today and will meet Carol from Quiltmania at the Cite des Congres later this afternoon.
I feel very fortunate to have made it to the show 'For the Love of Thread' and will miss all the other teachers that unfortunately could not get here on time.

  3. VERY lucky. Two days of backup in Salt Lake City for Paris. Amazing how different the view from the window Paris environs look from the view I had of Manchester, England - I don't know why that struck me. We flew into Charles DeGaulle last time. We wanted to drive out into the country, but I think we were totally scared off by our French shuttle driver - who passed traffic snarls on the freeway by jumping curves and speeding up and down exits.

Oh, how I wish I were seeing what you are seeing. And learn what you have to teach -

  4. Sue, I hope you have a wonderful time in France and get home one schedule - especially since I plan to sleep in your bed in less than 2 weeks!

  6. Oh Sue - I'm so glad you got there, poor Carol. Please make sure and blog our booth so I can see my quilts hanging there with yours! Wave to them for me :(
