I am here in Calgary teaching for 6 days for my friend Deirdre who owns the wonderful store 'Out of Hand'. www.out-of-hand.com I love teaching here as Deirdre's store is fully stocked with wonderful fibers and textures all of which I use in my own work.
On Thursday and Friday all the students worked on the Pomegranate Table Rug from my 'Crimson Tweed' book. Many started with my wool backgrounds but each personalized their piece with ribbons and fabrics of their own choice.
We worked on many stitches giving each one its own personality.
Many of the students incorporated Wendy and my new ribbon line which we did with Renaissance Ribbons www.suespargo.com
This is my fourth year teaching for Deirdre. I love returning as many of the students return each year and I love to see the wonderful work they are creating.
Keep Stitching
Sue
Beautiful pieces and it is nice that you can all work on the same project but individualize them to each students likes.

Sue, thank you, thank you, it was the best time ever! What a wonderful talented and inspiring teacher you are and every minute was such a pleasure. Your knowledge and methods for needle work is a blessing that will keep me motivated to stitch for a long time, well maybe till the next class, then I will need another fix!!!! It was a joy, and next time Shell will have to meet me there!!!
